Welcome to Social Side Quest — a street-level photo challenge that gives you the chance to win $50, just for snapping a pic and tagging a few local accounts!

What’s a Social Side Quest?

A Social Side Quest is a bonus mission you can complete during your adventure with Treasure Trove Toronto.

You’ll be challenged to take a specific photo or video — maybe it’s a selfie, a product display, a funky sign, or something creative.

Then, post it to Instagram, tag a few local profiles, and boom — you're entered to win $50.

Every quest highlights a neighbourhood business or sponsor, so by participating, you’re also spreading the word and supporting local.

How It Works

Step 1: Spot The Poster

Find a Social Side Quest sign while you're out and about or wandering between treasure hunt stops.

Step 2: Text The Code

Text the Quest Code on the poster to
647-932-2237 to instantly receive your quest objective.

Step 3: Follow The Directions

Your text objective will include:

1️⃣ What to post, 2️⃣ Which Instagram profiles to tag,
3️⃣ The hashtag for your caption

Step 4: Post on Instagram

Stories, reels, or feed posts all count — just make sure the tags and hashtag are correct!

You Could Win $50

One winner is randomly selected for each quest. Complete more quests = more chances to win!

Entry Requirements:

To enter, participants must:

  • Post a photo or video to Instagram based on instructions received via SMS

  • Include the correct hashtag (provided in the message)

  • Tag all three required Instagram accounts (also provided)

Prizes:

  • Each Social Side Quest offers one (1) cash prize of $50 CAD

  • Winners are selected at random from qualifying entries

  • Prize draws occur 24 hours after the end of the associated event

  • Winners will be notified via Instagram direct message

  • Winners must respond within 24 hours of contact and successfully answer a skill-testing question to claim their prize

Prize Eligibility:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Must be a resident of Ontario, Canada

  • Employees and family members of Treasure Trove Toronto are not eligible

Additional Terms:

  • By participating, you grant permission for your submitted post(s) to be shared by Treasure Trove Toronto and its partners for promotional purposes

  • Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not transferable or exchangeable

  • Treasure Trove Toronto reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not follow the instructions, use inappropriate content, or violate community standards
